Tales of Draqoyin - Miles long - Part 5

VHS tape Tales of Draqoyin - Part 5 - Miles Long

There you sit, with 2 grams of B+. We're in the living room with a large group at my good friend's place, and we all decide to trip. Someone has the brilliant idea to go for a walk. The trip is just starting, and we're all standing outside in our warm coats waiting for each other. Yawning...

So far, I haven't found out what causes this yawning, I find it amusing and actually a decent indicator for me that I'm on mushrooms. It doesn't bother me, but I find it interesting that I'm actually the only one doing it (from what I can see among my trip partners).

We start walking towards the railroad track, nothing particularly remarkable so far. Until it starts hitting one of my friends; she sees red lights through the trees on the other side of the track and starts talking about devilish topics. I manage to steer her away from the subject. Can't really deal with that! And walking, and dark stories... Nah...

We get a bit further from the group but are having a great conversation. The rest is waiting for us at the station. We decide to take the covered, paved path behind the track. Trees on both sides between the residential area and the track. The distance to that path might be about 50 meters, but we walk through the mud. When we reach the path, we see that there could have been a drier route. Oh well...

Shrugging, we continue.

The friend who saw the red lights and I are at the back of the group. As we walk further, the walk becomes physically more and more demanding. We're having a blast and talking about the silliest topics, but the exhaustion is also very present.

Eventually, we reach a T-junction. I know we're about halfway, so we still have to cover the same distance again, but through the residential area. "It felt like we had to walk all the way to Groningen, miles long," I sigh. Lots of laughter it was getting warm, everybody was taking their jackets off.

The view of the dark wooded path was blurry. Everywhere you looked, it was hazy, and the imagination left much to be desired. Having to focus on where to place the next step took so much energy that there was hardly any room for other experiences. I must say, though, a mud puddle briefly looked like a spider-like creature. And someone further ahead in the group had her coat half off, so it looked like her arm was three times as long. Otherwise, it felt like we were on a trek around the world.

When we returned, we just relaxed. The friend I walked the entire way with kept chatting away (as usual), while my boyfriend and I lay down on the bean bag and enjoyed the conversations around us for the rest of the time.

Above the couch, where we were sitting across from, there's a painting. White background and only the black of the panda is visible. It's holding a gun. The panda's head couldn't stay still and kept spinning around, left, right, and even upside down.

A deep sigh, and I blow the trip away... Woosh.
