A pigmentless gem from tropical Thailand.

The leucistic Ban Hua Thanon is a rare variant of the original Thai Psilocybe cubensis, originating from the Ban Hua Thanon region. Due to a genetic mutation that limits melanin production, this strain develops a strikingly pale appearance – with caps and stems ranging from almost white to light cream.

Instead of the typical golden-brown hue, this leucistic form displays a unique and subtle colour palette. When mature, the gills are usually light grey to purplish-black, depending on spore production – a visually captivating feature under the microscope.
